Dan Hill – Chief Financial Officer
Dan has been involved in commercial real estate for his entire life, beginning with his family holdings which include mixed retail/restaurant projects in La Jolla, California. With a particular personal dedication to the seniors housing industry, his experience in the operations, management, and financing of commercial real estate ranges from managing the food and beverage properties at a major US Airport to structuring 9 figure transactions as an investment banker.
 
Dan currently serves as the managing member of Viridis and the Chief Financial Officer of the affiliated senior housing management company, Seasons Management, LLC. Prior to joining Seasons Management, Dan served as Vice President of a senior housing private equity firm focused on direct investment in senior housing facilities including distressed assets. In this position, he oversaw the underwriting, debt and equity sourcing, and ongoing asset management of 12 assets totaling over $150 million in placed capital.

 

In addition to the transaction duties, he created and deployed the underwriting, budgeting, and financial modeling systems for the enterprise. Prior to joining this group, he was an associate with the industry leading healthcare investment bank as part of the Healthcare Real Estate and Securitizations Group, providing over $500 million in financing while he was part of the team. During his tenure, he also worked with the CDO and CMBS groups, and was successful in achieving the first ever investment grade rating from all three agencies for a portfolio of assisted living properties.

 

Prior to this, he served as the Vice President of Finance at one of the largest privately held Senior Housing companies in the United States where he managed the real estate portfolio finance department. During this time he secured over $500 million in capital proceeds in addition to overseeing the financial reporting and analysis for the portfolio of assets, assisting in growing the company from 90 assets to over 200 during his tenure. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX, and his MBA from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.
